How to: Find the perfect ring size

Saturday, May 23rd, 2020

We understand that knowing the exact ring size of your loved one or even for yourself can be challenging. Knowing the most common ring size can help you make your choice. The average ring size for women is 6 to 7, and the average ring size for men is 9 to 10.

If you aren’t sure we would recommend choosing one of these sizes. As a general rule, if you are between two sizes we would always advice to order a ring a little too big rather than a little too small.

How to I find my ring size?

We understand that knowing the exact ring size of yourself or your loved one can be challenging. We offer complementary ring sizing in our solid gold rings if your ring is ordered in the incorrect size. If you are unsure of the size, you are better to go slightly bigger than smaller. We can occasionally assist in estimating the ring size through other means (like photographs), or you could consider these tactics:

Tips for finding the perfect ring size in secret

The most important thing to remember is that no one truly minds if a ring isn’t a perfect fit, they are just overjoyed you were so thoughtful! We can resize a ring at any point if it’s required. If you are between two ring sizes, we would always advise to order the ring a little too big rather than a little too small.

Choosing the perfect ring size

Knowing the most common ring size can help you make your choice. The average ring size for women is 6 to 7, and the average ring size for men is 9 to 10. If you aren’t sure, reach out to our incredible team on care@chupi.com and we’ll send you a complimentary ring sizer.

Each of your fingers will be a different size, so while you may be a US 6/ UK L on your ring finger on your right hand, your ring finger on your left hand will be different. The fingers on the hand you write with will tend to be larger as your muscles are more developed.

Cold weather can cause your fingers to become slimmer, whilst heat or water retention can cause your fingers to swell. It’s best to measure your fingers in the early evening for the most accurate size. If you are ordering for yourself, we would advice ordering a little smaller rather than bigger so the ring fits snugly.

The ring should fit your ring finger comfortably: snug enough so it won’t slip off, but loose enough you can wiggle it over your knuckle when you need to. And just in case you still aren’t sure, we offer a complimentary ring sizing service with all of our solid gold rings.
