This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the women in our lives who mean the world to us. Everyone has incredible women in their lives who have shaped us to be who we are today. They’re the ones who have supported us, encouraged us, guided us and inspired us without even noticing it.
From our mums to our grandmothers, sisters and friends, we asked the Chupi Team to share with us the women who have inspired, encouraged and guided us to get to where we are today.
Women who inspire us
Zoe O’ Connell, Head of Brand Marketing
I’m lucky to be surrounded by inspiring women in my life – my family, my friends and the incredible women I work with here at Chupi. My biggest inspiration has always been my Mum however, she’s always encouraged me to follow my dreams and shown me with hard work anything is possible. She’s an incredibly talented artist, an art therapist and the best Mum I could ask for.
Amy Condell – Production Lead
My grandmother, otherwise known as Nana Renee, not only taught me how to sew as a child, (which is still my absolute obsession). She started her own curtain making business to raise her 3 boys after losing her husband to cancer. She still takes curtain orders to this day, to make pocket money for her annual global travels. She does yoga, gardening, is always entertaining, cooking up a storm, or making jam, and she does dancing across the country. She has forever been my fountain of wisdom, and is always a Whatsapp or phone call away with the wisest advice.
Laura Swanton – Head of Marketing
I feel incredibly lucky to have so many remarkable women in my life – smart, hard working, funny, loveable & fierce women, from my gorgeous mum and sister, my little women (my 2 daughters), my mother in law, grandmothers, aunts and my girlfriends.. I’ve been brought up surrounded by them so choosing one person is tough.
For this IWD, my call out has to be to the most incredible women I work with in Chupi.. each experts in their own field, passionate to do great things everyday – they are all so ambitious but kind and supportive at the same time, it makes for the most beautiful environment to work in and genuinely makes me want to be greater and do better.
Una O’Boyle – Marketing Specialist
I recently had the pleasure of hearing Sinead Burke speaking at an International Women’s day event. She spoke about her time as a teacher at an inner Dublin City school – which, for a number of reasons, to the outside world might have seemed like an impossible task – but Sinead listened, connected and was kind to these children and it’s inspired me to try and use these same qualities every day. .Sinead is an amazing ambassador for Ireland and is definitely one of the most inspirational women out there! In my everyday life, I’m so lucky to be surrounded by incredible women, from my team at Chupi to my Sisters, Mam & oldest pals.
Happy International Women’s Day from all of us here at Chupi!
